
Ethos Connect International Consulting Sdn Bhd, a well established technical and vocational education college in Kuching has successfully completed the one month internship hosting for international interns from Germany into the private sectors in Sarawak. The vocational and cultural exchange program between Germany and Sarawak took place after the signing of the MOU between Ethos Connect and Chamber of Commerce & Industry Ostbrandenburg in March 2019, witnessed by Datuk Haji Abdul Karim Bin Hamzah and Datuk Lee Khim Shin, Minister and Assistant Minister of Arts, Tourism, Culture, Youths & Sports and Permanent Secretary, Mr Hii Chang Kee.

The interns accompanied by Ethos Connect and partner companies, Sarawak Economic Development Corporation (SEDC), Grand Margherita & Riverside Astana Hotel Kuching made a courtesy call on YB Datuk Haji Abdul Karim Bin Hamzah and presented him with a creative handiwork collage to show the many places and activities they have participated in during the one month attachment in Sarawak. The interns who are working in Germany took time off their work to come to Sarawak to experience the diverse cultures, foods and languages and visited various places of attractions. The Minister expressed the hope that more of such beneficial programs could be organised in the future between Sarawak and Germany.
The objective of the programs is the real working relationship with the locals, provides a platform for positive exchange of international knowledge, competencies and skills for our youths development and marketability as they further develop to become globally competitive.
According to Ms Sim Ling ling, Chief Executive Officer of Ethos Connect and President of Sarawak International Technical and Vocational Education Association, the international exchange program shall be maintained and new fields for internships added in the near future.
